Delete your account
Last updated:
Draft. This document was written in-house and is pending review by a lawyer. It describes what the service actually does today, and we will publish a reviewed version once that review is done.
You can delete your Titus Board account (the app by Titus Hub Inc., on the web and on Android) yourself at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
In the app
- Sign in at titusboard.com, or open the Android app.
- Open your profile (your name or photo in the sidebar).
- Choose Delete account at the bottom.
- Enter your password to confirm it is you, then confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device.
By email
If you can't sign in, email info@titushub.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request came from you, then delete the account within a few business days and tell you when it is done.
Two things that block deletion
- Workspaces you own that have other members. Deleting your account would take the workspace away from them. Transfer ownership to another member first (Workspace settings), or remove the other members if the workspace is done.
- An active paid subscription on a workspace you own, once paid plans are open. Cancel it first from Manage billing so no further charges are made. Deletion goes ahead once the cancellation is scheduled.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (email address and password hash).
- Your profile: name and photo.
- Your settings and notification preferences.
- The device tokens used for push notifications on your phones.
- Every workspace where you are the only member, with all of its projects, tasks, comments, messages and files.
- Your membership of every other workspace, team and project, and your name on tasks assigned to you.
What is kept
- Content you added to workspaces owned by others. Tasks, comments and messages you wrote in someone else's workspace belong to that workspace and stay there, without your profile attached. Ask that workspace's owner to remove them.
- Backups. Deleted data leaves our database backups within 14 days.
- Billing records, once paid plans are open, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- A record that the deletion happened (the account identifier and the time), so we can answer questions about it.
