Terms of Service

Last updated:

Draft. This document was written in-house and is pending review by a lawyer. It describes what the service actually does today, and we will publish a reviewed version once that review is done.

These terms cover your use of Titus Board (the website at titusboard.com, the signed-in app and the Android app), which is run by Titus Hub Inc.(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are using it for a company, you confirm you may accept them for that company. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Your account

  • You need an account to use Titus Board. Give us an email address you control and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Confirm your email address when asked. Some features, such as sending invitations, stay locked until you do.
  • You must be at least 16. Titus Board is for businesses and teams.
  • Tell us at info@titushub.com if you think someone else has used your account.

2. Workspaces, roles and sharing

Work in Titus Board happens in workspaces. The person who creates a workspace owns it and decides who joins and with what role; owners and admins can invite people, change roles and remove members. Everything in a workspace is visible to its members according to those roles, so the owner of a workspace is responsible for who is in it and for what the workspace is used for.

With HQ-to-location sync, a head office can publish task lists to linked location workspaces. A location that links to an organization agrees that the organization's owner can push lists into it and see the progress reported back, and can unlink at any time.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you and your team put into Titus Board: tasks, comments, messages, files and the rest. You give us the permission we need to store it, back it up, show it to the members of the workspace it belongs to, and deliver notifications about it. We use it only to run the service and as our Privacy Policy describes. You are responsible for having the right to share what you upload.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't use Titus Board to:

  • break the law, or store or share anything unlawful, abusive, harassing or malicious;
  • invite or message people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or send spam through invitations;
  • upload malware, or files you don't have the right to share;
  • probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission, or try to reach another workspace or account;
  • put an unreasonable load on the service, or use it in a way that gets in the way of other people using it.

If you think you have found a security problem, please tell us at info@titushub.com rather than testing it further. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, for a breach of this section.

5. Plans, billing, cancellation and refunds

  • Free plan. Every workspace starts on the Free plan, which has the limits shown on our pricing page. It costs nothing and needs no payment details.
  • Paid plans. When paid plans are open, a workspace owner can upgrade. Team and Business plans are priced per member, the Corporate plan per linked location, at the prices shown when you upgrade, billed monthly or annually in US dollars through Stripe. Seat and location counts sync automatically as your workspace changes, and the next bill reflects them.
  • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
  • Cancelling.The workspace owner can cancel any time from Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the workspace keeps its paid features until then and returns to the Free plan after that. Content over the Free plan's limits is kept but may become read-only.
  • Refunds. Charges are not refunded for the unused part of a billing period, except where the law requires it. If you believe a charge was made in error, email info@titushub.com within 14 days of the charge and we will look into it.
  • Price changes.We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email to the workspace owner. A change applies from the next renewal after the notice period.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude any sales or similar tax, which is added where it applies.

6. Services we build on

Titus Boardruns on Google Firebase and Google Cloud, sends email through Brevo, and will take payments through Stripe. Those providers can change their products and terms; payments are also subject to Stripe's terms on the pages Stripe hosts. The Android app is distributed through Google Play under Google's terms as well.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Titus Boardavailable and to fix problems quickly, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or add features, and we may retire a feature with reasonable notice. Back up anything you can't afford to lose: you can export a project from the app at any time.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app, or by emailing us; see how account deletion works. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where that is reasonable, and we may close the service as a whole with at least 60 days' notice, during which you can export your data.

9. Our content

Titus Board, its design, code and the Titus Board and Titus names and logos belong to Titus Hub Inc. or to the people who licensed them to us. You may use the service under these terms; you may not copy it, resell it, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.

10. No warranty

Titus Board is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Titus Hub Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of Titus Board. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any dispute will be heard by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a change that matters we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
